Job Purpose

The Senior Financial Analyst provides proactive financial consulting, business partnering, and analytical support to various groups within the organization.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Synthesizes and communicates financial and operations data to management in a clear and concise manner.

• Participates in the construction and delivery of management reporting.

• Assists in the annual planning and budgeting, and quarterly forecast processes.

• Assists in the development and presentation of performance metrics and scorecards.

• Compares monthly, quarterly and yearly financial results to planned or forecasted results, explains variances and makes recommendations for future actions.

• Develops analytical models to evaluate performance and profitability of ongoing operations.

• Develops analytical models to evaluate financial benefits of special projects and acquisitions; supports formation of business cases.

• Identifies and implements technical and functional opportunities to improve processes, operational efficiency and reporting.

• Cultivates strong relationships with assigned business partners.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited University

• 5+ years’ experience in financial planning and analysis roles.

• Detailed-oriented person with proven analytical thinking skills, internal drive for results and personal accountability.

• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.

• Strong understanding of how key performance drivers impact financial results.

• Proven data-gathering and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret and draw accurate conclusions from various types of data.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to share background analysis in a way that is easy to understand and supports resulting conclusion.

• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications with specific emphasis on advanced mastery of Excel and PowerPoint.

• Experience using Epicor or similar ERP systems.

• Experience using Cognos Controller or similar data consolidation and reporting tools.

• Experience using Power BI or similar data analytics and reporting tools.

• Experience with financial modeling

• Comfortable creating and delivering PowerPoint presentations

• Ability to work under minimal supervision and handle multiple priorities concurrently.

• Ability to work remotely with company supplied equipment as well as in corporate offices.

• Ability to travel for occasional site visits within the US approximately four times annually

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the manufacturing industry

• Experience providing data to multiple locations/leaders

• Experience utilizing Cognos
