Position Summary:
The Senior Forecast Analyst develops and maintains the SKU-level forecast for one or more key sub-business units on a rolling 12-24-month basis. Responsible for the efficient execution of the forecast process for the assigned sub business unit(s) to drive stability in financial and operations planning and provide customers the highest level of service. The incumbent has a complete understanding of forecasting processes and is self-sufficient in performing analyses required to identify and categorize Slow Moving Inventory.
Specific Responsibilities:

Compile customer demand information from Sales / Replenishment and promotional and strategic information from Marketing. Maintain an awareness of consumer, customer, and market trends. Incorporate this knowledge into forecast revisions and adjustments.


Measure current Forecast of Record with forecasting tools and metrics. Monitor for variances and need for adjustment.


Communicate forecast data to management and other departments (e.g. Planning, Sales, Distribution, Finance, and Marketing) via standard reporting and ad hoc analysis.


Confirm timing of new programs with Planning and discuss constraints to the forecast.


Prepare materials for and moderate the monthly working consensus meeting. Present current metrics and indices. Introduce preliminary projections and achieve consensus for the Forecast of Record.


Identify and advise brand groups of potential liabilities of obsolete and distressed inventories based on projected forecast volumes.


Forecast item setup and maintenance within forecasting systems.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, a related field or equivalent years of related work experience
  • Demonstrated analytical ability with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate across multiple functions and levels
  • Strong computer and MS Office skills
  • Working knowledge of quantitative methods used to analyze situations and solve business problems
Minimum Job Experience Required:
  • 3+ years of analytical experience in Forecasting, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics or related area
