POSITION SUMMARY

  • Performs applications implementation through analysis, design, testing and evaluation.
  • Works with clinical operations in medium to large scope projects to define problems, prioritize viable alternatives through collaboration with staff and department leaders.
  • Leads system workflow analysis and evaluation to facilitate process re-engineering.
  • Oversees usability test plans, creates patient testing scenarios and evaluates results with user department(s) and others.
  • Coordinates and provides demonstrations as needed.
  • Demonstrates strong skills and efficiencies in managing work. Assist peers in meeting customer needs.
  • Mentors other employees and promotes team cooperation.
  • Provides operational ITS systems support and troubleshooting for applications
  • Provides and models excellent operational systems support and troubleshooting.
  • Provides consultative services to users and the implementation team on the impact to workflows
  • Translates requirements into system design and workflows, data collection and reporting needs
  • Provides relevant clinical knowledge input and ensures appropriate resources are engaged to resolve system problems working in collaboration with others.
  • Documents and in some instances approves, Change Management per policy.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of educational strategies and materials, focusing on best practice model, current patient flow initiatives and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and Information Systems
  • Responsible for monitoring and communicating project status to stakeholders.
  • Plans, manages and over-sees components of projects ensuring project coordination among interdisciplinary teams from inception to completion.
  • Participates in various organizational committees, task forces, and teams as needed.
  • Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication with all customers.
  • Presents complex information effectively in large and diverse group settings
  • User problem-solving skills and decision-making skills in addressing problems and questions
  • Identifies real problems other than symptoms to draw valid conclusions.
  • Demonstrates broad understanding of technical aspects affecting technology both within own area of expertise and in the broader arena of complex health systems

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION

  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and act as the liaison to help communicate and translate the needs of patient care as it pertains to Information Systems, documentation design and data workflow.
  • Must be able to understand, interpret and manage patient care documentation and data workflow designs
  • Oversees, designs and implements new or modified informatics solutions, data structures and decision-support mechanisms in collaboration with others.
  • Must stay current on state legislation and regulatory requirements that directly impact Information System design and delivery of care.
  • While daily on-site attendance is not required, the position does require on-site presence for at-the-elbow engagements and in[1]person presentations during meetings and other events

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Minimally Required:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing required.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor s degree in nursing preferred.

Licensure/certification:

Minimally Required:

Current New Hampshire licensure as a Registered Nurse. Vendor required certification in good standing (or proficiency if vendor accepts) for applications/modules employee is assigned to support. If not currently certified (or proficient) employee will have 6 months from their DOH (Date of Hire) or DOT (Date of Transfer) into a position that requires certification (proficiency).

Preferred:

  • Certification in Nursing Informatics and/or member of informatics professional organization Experience:

Minimally Required:

  • Minimum of 4 years IS experience managing implementation projects and EMR best practice design.

Knowledge:

Minimally Required:

  • Have advanced knowledge of EMR functionality, data integration and best practice design.

Skills:

Minimally Required:

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills Must be self-directed, flexible and have excellent organizational skills.

Abilities:

Minimally Required:

  • Ability to multitask, manage projects and delegate tasks to ensure project fluidity and workload balance.
