Responsibilities:

The prospective candidate will provide direct advisory and assistance support (A&AS) as a Senior Information Technology Specialist to U.S. Air Force customers in a U.S. Air Force Program Office. The customer Program Office provides planning and acquisition of cost-effective, long-term critical U.S. Air Force capabilities in an Integrated Product Team structure. The candidate will work side by side with customers and other A&AS contractors in the Program Office. Working with the customer, the candidate may also interface with major defense contractors who supply critical defense capabilities. The majority of the work will be performed in the customer work space.

Senior personnel typically work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and perform all functional duties independently. Senior personnel may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

  • Primarily provide Service Desk operations, ITIL, system security and documentation, and general IT systems administration.
  • Support all aspects of IT systems management to include planning, design, acquisition, installation and set-up, testing, accreditation, fielding, support, and disposition of IT equipment, components, and software.
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, install, update, and accomplish day-today administration for software and hardware on multiple classified networks.
  • Support analysis and testing to ensure equipment and software additions and upgrades compatible with existing infrastructure.
  • Provide help desk support for all IT networks and communications systems for on-site and off-site personnel.
  • Support IT system back-up, data restoration, and disaster recovery.
  • Support basic maintenance for printers, scanners, monitors, and KVM switches.
  • Support preparation of required network Information Assurance documentation.
  • Support tasks associated with IT operations and maintenance associated with network centric and global grid interoperability requirements, Clinger-Cohen reporting requirements, and other IT certification processes.
  • Support self-assessments using the Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT).

Qualifications:

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree.
  • TS required, SCI Eligible
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience maintaining IT systems.
  • DoD 8570 Information Assurance Management Level II certification, or equivalent.
  • 4 years of classified information systems experience working on DoD ACAT I, ACAT II, or ACAT Other programs.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Exchange.
  • Experience installing and configuring Linux operating systems in a mixed Linux/Windows environment.
  • Exerience developing standardized procedures for account establishment, system maintenance, and system recovery.
  • Experience developing and implementing maintenance and upgrade procedures to minimize disruption of normal business functions of organization within the installation.
  • Knowledge of, and experience implementing, DoD and Air Force Technology regulations, services, and instructions to ensure communications and computer services are in compliance with applicable regulations and instructions.
  • Experience developing network Standard Operating Procedures, and implementing audits, threat and vulnerability assessments, and applying security-related software tools to manage and control classified information systems.
  • Experience managing the configuration of classified information systems.
  • Experience with Multi-Level secure networks and automated cross-domain security solutions.
  • Experience uploading and downloading files across classified networks operating at different classification levels, and controlling and recording all incoming and outgoing digital media.
  • Experience accomplishing self-assessments using the Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT).
  • Experience resolving information systems security incidents.
  • Knowledge of Video Teleconferencing and Voice over IP telephone systems.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of IT network equipment to include switches, routers, and both basic and advanced configurations of firewalls.
  • Experience designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft SharePoint to include creation of workflows and office automation tasks.
  • Experience updating and maintaining the software system of the Logistics Management Data System (LMDS).
  • Experience managing relational databases to include Access, SQL, and Oracle.
