Solü is currently seeking a Senior Internal Controls Analyst for our client in Marietta, PA. The responsibilities of the Senior Internal Controls Analyst include partnering with control owners to provide best practices to ensure internal controls over financial reporting are well designed, documented, understood, and implemented effectively across the company.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with business partners and control owners across the organization to identify control and process improvement opportunities with an emphasis on automation and efficiency.
- Perform Sarbanes-Oxley design and operating effectiveness testing on behalf of management.
- Support the Internal Audit function to ensure the organization is compliant with internal control policies, procedures, checks and balances.
- Facilitate and manage the related remediation of any control deficiencies identified.
- Communicate identified issues with Internal Audit management to ensure that any potential concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner.
- Work with all levels of management and with a variety of business units.
- Act as liaison with external auditors as necessary regarding process walkthroughs, internal control design, and effectiveness testing and documentation.
- Support the department objectives while working independently and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize work assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of public accounting or internal audit experience required
- Sarbanes-Oxley compliance experience required; including PCAOB requirements in a manner that supports management’s control certifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Prior experience working with internal controls and process improvements
- Insurance industry experience preferred
- CPA, CISA, CIA, CICS or CICP certification preferred
