About the Role


We are seeking a Sr. Manager – IoT Connectivity (Android, iOS) who will be responsible for design, development, testing and support of Android and iOS connectivity solutions (Gateways, Hubs and Apps). You will be responsible for leading the mobile, SDK and connectivity teams through full product lifecycle in alignment with the Quality Management Systems. You will also drive the end to end architecture, development and verification of our connectivity data pipeline from device to cloud. Furthermore, you will own the development, testing and deployment of our mobile apps for both Android and IoS in collaboration with the UI/Front-End teams.

This is a leadership position with the ability to develop and enhance end to end processes, drive execution and manage + scale the team and organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attract, develop and grow our connectivity organization. Develop and maintain external partnerships.
  • Deliver reliable connectivity solutions including Gateway, Mobile and Off-loaders.
  • Drive architecture to enable continuous improvement on connectivity performance on Critical to Quality functionalities.
  • Develop and collaborate with verification team to ensure performance and quality.
  • Lead design and development in alignment with QMS and in collaboration with Cloud and Hardware/Firmware team.
  • Lead digital support team and troubleshoot basic to advanced technical issues on Device Provisioning – Gateway, Sim service management, OTA firmware updates, Remote server management
  • Translate consumer and enterprise business requirements into technology requirements for fixed wireless and IoT devices ensuring full traceability from user needs to test results.
  • Architecture design of IoT communication stack, protocol, and communication strategy to maximize battery and ensure communication reliability and data availability.
  • Solution architecture and integration of IoT Device Management platform.
  • Evaluation and introduction of new wireless device technologies, features, and services to meet business needs
  • In-Field and In-Lab data collection, monitoring, testing and device characterization
  • Working as a SME in our 24x7 digital support team and troubleshoot basic to advanced technical issues on Device Provisioning – Gateway, Sim service management, OTA firmware updates, Remote server management
  • Drive technical deployment of device connectivity in-facility and clinical environments.
  • Work with OEM supplier and our business partners (Gateway, IoT sensor, Data service and contract manufacturer) to leverage their expert support and document the FAQ’s and best practices.
  • Responsible to train the support team and elevate their skills in device management.
Requirements:

What We Are Looking For

  • BS in Engineering (Instrumentation, Electronics and Communication, Electrical, etc.) or Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Experience managing and scaling teams and organizations.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with wireless devices and/or IoT device management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Android OS and SDK architecture/framework.
  • Experience with Linux, Java, Kotlin, Swift, C#, C/C++
  • Experience managing product lifecycle from ideation to end-of-life.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems in highly regulated environments.
  • Experience with tool chains, workflows and DevSecOps.
  • Experience with testing and verification including unit, penetration, integration, performance, and reliability.
  • Knowledge of data driven analysis and applied statistics.
  • Experience with mobile development (Native and platform based) for Android and IoS deployment at scale.
  • Experience with process development and change management.
  • Hands-on work experience with open-source data analytics toolsets such as R, Python, etc
  • Strong oral and written communications skills in English and ability to work with global stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience in Medical Device industry

Job Type: Full-time – Exempt

Salary Expectations: $150-175K (based on experience and location)
