As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers you will be responsible for creating a company that creates rockets, both managing and leading teams in the hands-on design, development, and testing of turbomachinery for various spaceflight systems.

You will have integral responsibility for employee performance through professional development, mentoring, technical guidance, and development of training programs.

Technical leadership will be required as a non-advocate Subject Matter Expert ensuring product excellence through program design reviews and failure investigations.

You will need a proven ability to develop, execute, and improve technical processes in the turbomachinery design and development cycle by formulating and implementing preventative and corrective actions. Ability to lead and mentor teammates in a highly collaborative environment is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
  • 12+ years experience with turbomachinery component design, development, testing, and flight support
  • Proven track record of leading teams and guiding professional development
  • Strong knowledge of rotating machinery component design and manufacturing including turbines, impellers, cases, bearings, and seals
  • Knowledge of hydrodynamics, aerodynamics, secondary flow systems, and rotordynamics
  • Solid understanding of production processes
  • Demonstrated success with corrective action implementation
  • Experience with hardware fabrication and quality control
  • Ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired

  • Experience with turbomachinery specific to rocket engine applications
  • Experience with cryogenic fluids and oxygen compatibility
  • Professional leadership training

Pay: $154,000.00 - $197,000.00 per year
