Job Description Summary

The Senior Materials Planner for GE Hitachi (GEH) Advanced Nuclear supply chain team is responsible to coordinate the flow of materials, internal and external, according to sales and production schedules. This role will plan and schedule material for production needs and will be responsible for material planning for advanced nuclear programs.

In this role you will work cross-functionally to lead an implementation and adoption of the material requirement planning (MRP) tool across the business, specifically within the supply chain function. This role will require deep integration with Information Technology (IT) and SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations) functions.

Roles and Responsibilities

Must be willing to work eastern time zone working business hours.

Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as the lead interface for Oracle MRP [Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP)] implementation and integration
  • Train the Sourcing and Supply Chain teams on the tool
  • Support the transition to the platform
  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems, as well as prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs for the Advanced Nuclear business
  • Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements
  • Partner with supply chain and value stream leaders to develop strategies for inventory reduction and just-in-time delivery
  • Use Lean principles to optimize shop flow and drive material velocity for improved inventory turns and cash flow
  • Use technical experience and analytical thinking to problem solve, determine root cause and propose countermeasures to improve performance on key performance indicators
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college, university, or equivalent
  • 10 years of relevant, professional work experience
  • 3 years of professional experience in material planning for sourcing, supply chain, or manufacturing

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience leading an MRP or ERP implementation project, specifically in the Oracle platform
  • Experience in a new product introduction environment
  • Strong leader capable of working successfully in matrix organization, as part of a cross-functional team to drive impactful results
  • Experience in a high technology and/or highly regulated industry
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification

The salary range for this position is $101,000.00 - $123,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
