In your Senior Engineer Reliability role, you’ll help us deliver better care for billions of people around the world.

As the Senior Engineer Reliability, you will provide Reliability strategic leadership for the KCNA manufacturing sites to deliver a breakthrough step change in asset performance while driving costs to world class levels through continuous improvement. You will work in close partnership with the Reliability, Operations & Engineering teams within KCNA to build a sustainable, healthy Reliability organization, on a foundation of respect, learning, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead/participate in safety improvements, problem solving and sharing.

  • Provide guidance, capability building, coaching and facilitation in the development and maturity of the Reliability Pillars (Design for Reliability, Precision Maintenance, Failure Elimination Cycle, Lowest parts life cycle costs) for the KCNA manufacturing facilities.

  • Assist manufacturing facilities in developing their reliability strategy and translating into actionable items.

  • Mentor and grow reliability engineers at the manufacturing facilities.

  • Lead/ participate in the development or improvement of reliability standards and best practices.

  • Lead / facilitate or mentor complex technical problem-solving efforts.

  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities in maintenance cost for the manufacturing facilities.

  • Facilitate the sharing of solutions to “bad actors” and reliability improvements across KCNA.

  • Partner with procurement and engineering to deliver improvements in total cost of ownership.

  • Work toward Certified Reliability Leader (CRL), Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM), and Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certifications.

  • Travel up to 30% for benchmarking, best practice sharing, and capability building across KCNA

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required in engineering or relevant scientific discipline.

  • 10+ years of experience in a variety of plant and staff assignments, including maintenance and operations support.

  • Experience in multiple mills, product systems and staff experience are highly desired

  • Demonstrated understanding and practical application of LEAN and CI principles and tools.

  • Incumbent would possess demonstrated ability to influence a multi-functional team without direct authority.

  • Experience with SAP is highly desired
