The UCPath Center is the University of California's shared services center in Riverside, CA. The UCPath Center manages the payroll, benefits, and other human resources transactions for more than 200,000 UC employees working across ten UC campuses, five medical centers, three national labs and more. POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Information Technology, the Senior Salesforce Administrator will administer, support and optimize the Salesforce platform that provides case management, live chat, and access to knowledge articles. The Senior Salesforce Administrator will work closely with the UCPath Center ITSS department, UCOP ITS, vendors, business users, and other key stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver quality solutions. Additionally, the position will support the integrations between Salesforce and Pardot, the UCPath Online employee portal, Coveo, PeopleSoft HCM, Single Sign On, Talkdesk and other systems.

Responsibilities

60% ADMINISTRATION

Administer the UCPath Center Salesforce platform consisting of Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Pardot, Live Chat, Tableau CRM, and integrations with other enterprise systems.

Support Salesforce releases and internal releases.

Perform administration of the Salesforce.com instance by managing fields/relationships, workflow rules, approval processes, page layouts, security, validation rules, email, custom buttons/links, etc.

Manage ongoing support requests and administrative needs of users.

Responsible for maintaining functional areas of contacts/relationship, accounts, opportunities, dashboards, and reports.

Direct and enforce security controls.

Ensure data security is enforced by the use of roles, profiles, and sharing rules.

Continuously monitor data integration to ensure data integrity and quality.

Responsible for reliability of master data maintained on the platform.

Perform analysis, administration, troubleshooting, testing, data and environment refreshes as needed.

Create and execute queries and reports, maintain user roles, security, and profiles.

Develop and refine our Salesforce.com reporting functionality: prepare dashboards, pipelines, and other ad hoc reports.

Work cross-functionally to maintain and improve upon our integrations with different systems.

Provide support on Salesforce integrations with other shared service enter technologies such as Pardot, the UCPath Online employee portal, Coveo, PeopleSoft HCM, Single Sign On, Talkdesk, and other systems.

20% BUSINESS ANALYSIS

Be part of a fast paced team and participate in planning, documentation, execution, testing, and launch of projects.

Work with various functions and end users to identify, document, and communicate standard business processes as they relate to the database.

Keep abreast with new Salesforce.com features and functionality and provide recommendations for process improvements.

Research changes in upcoming versions of Salesforce.com and other integrated applications: provide recommendations when necessary to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Assist users with report design and management.

Collaborate with end-users to create and maintain training materials. Drive adoption, onboarding and train the trainer's processes.

20% DESIGN and DEVELOPMENT

Provide recommendations on Salesforce architecture and technical roadmap.

Generate solution overviews and proof of concept designs/applications.

Ensure solution designs follow best practices, meets business goals, considers the user experience, are technically feasible, scalable and maintainable.

Perform Salesforce configurations, Apex and VisualForce coding, and QA.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience; with a Minimum of three (3) years demonstrated experience with management of SalesForce.com.
  • Experience with various Salesforce technologies such as Service Cloud, Knowledge Management, Chatter, etc.
  • Functional knowledge of the Salesforce.com data structure; an understanding of how to leverage the tool to meet complex reporting requirements.
  • Experience with the integration of complex, diverse, internally and externally developed implementations of business functions to build scalable systems.
  • Designs user systems interfaces, business software prototypes and new systems or major enhancements to existing programs.
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of VisualForce, HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of how system management actions affect other systems, system users and dependent/related functions. Experience in data integration and the specification of data services.
  • Advanced knowledge of business and process analysis functions. Knowledge of the design, development and application of technology and systems to meet business needs. Ability to identify process improvements and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to write technical documentation in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proactive communicator with ability to both clearly explain systems and to gather information and assess needs of business partners.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to present information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong sense of customer focus, both internal and external, and the importance of the voice of the customer.
  • Ability to effectively interact, collaborate, and influence across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to provide high quality work utilizing highly developed and effective communication (written and verbal), project management, time management, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce.com certification as administrator or developer

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This position requires occasional up to frequent non-standard and/or on-call work hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Salary: The recommended salary range is $122,000 - $140,000. Commensurate with experience.
