Best Buy has an opening at its office in Seattle, Washington for the position of Senior Software Engineer. Design features, defining and driving technology strategy. Own areas of codebase, knowledge of industry trends and their application on team. Develop and maintain large and complex system applications in accordance with company methodologies, technical standards, and time and budget estimates. Design and build software solutions with impact across teams. Lead coding of larger features on advertising technology team. Use in-depth technical and functional knowledge to translate complex architectural requirements into detailed coding parameters. Confer with systems analysts and engineers to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces. Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system. Scope and stage work into well-defined milestones and coordinate design specification timelines. Train users to use new and modified equipment. Salary for position ranges from $168,709 to $180,000, commensurate with experience, and proffered position comes with standard company benefits for full time employees. Full Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent foreign degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related IT field plus five years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience in software development, architecture, Agile methodologies and coding ETL pipelines (Informatica and/or Python). Experience must include work with Agile Software Development and Continuous Development and Continuous Integration using Jenkins. At least two years of this experience must include proficiency with data engineering tools and cloud platforms (AWS or Google Cloud Platform) .
