Position Overview

The Senior Strategy & Development Analyst will work as a member of the Strategy & Development Team of the CRH Americas Materials West and Central Divisions. In this capacity, the Analyst will partner with the VP of Strategy & Development, Division Presidents, Division CFO, Region Presidents and Company Presidents as well as other members of the Senior Leadership Team across the divisions to provide support strategic planning and development projects. The position may be located anywhere in the western US where companies operate.


Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Assist in the analysis of multiple markets and strategic acquisition opportunities
  • Build analytical models and perform financial analysis to value acquisition opportunities
  • Provide clear explanations and make well-founded recommendations to executive leadership concerning the financial soundness of prospective acquisitions
  • Support with the business and financial due diligence processes on acquisitions and divestitures
  • Provide financial support for post-closing activities such as plant, mobile equipment, land and reserves valuations, opening balance sheet accounts, inventory adjustments construction work-in-process true-ups, and appropriate accounting structures
  • Support the strategic planning process, assisting in workshops and assisting operating companies in building their plans
  • Ensure compliance with AMAT and CRH policies throughout the acquisition/divestiture process
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Mining, Engineering or other technical field. MBA preferred
  • Seven years of relevant experience including a combination of accounting, finance, acquisition, integration support operations or management experience
  • Similar or direct industry experience is a benefit


Work Requirements

  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required
  • Must be able to able to work under time constraints and ensure deadlines are met
  • Travel approximately 25% with brief periods to 60%

  • The position may require work outside of normal business hours.


Compensation & Company Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $110,000 – $140,000/year
