Senior Structural Designer
Job description

We’re looking to hire a Structural Designer to our team, who will have the opportunity to participate in the design of state of the art industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities.
Our Structural Designers will be responsible for working with other designers, Engineering teams, and Sr. Project Managers to create and problem-solve exciting and complex designs that incorporate some of the latest design techniques, while ensuring that all specifications are met, and to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Design and model using AutoCAD and Revit software for new structures and retrofitting of existing structures.
- Perform and coordinate the structural design and analysis of assigned projects under the supervision of a Sr. Engineer or Project Manager.
- Assist lead structural engineer in development and coordination of structural support scope.
- Understand the scope and requirements of each project to assure we meet project timelines.
- Communicates with supervisor concerning progress or problems in an assigned task.
- Participate in project review sessions with all disciplines to ensure project standards and quality control measures are met.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, process/chemical, and architectural to solve design problems and challenges.
- High school diploma or GED is required. An Associate or Bachelor’s degree-tracked in Structural or Civil engineering technology is preferred.
- Experience with Revit and AutoCAD is required. Experience with Plant 3D, Bluebeam, Navisworks, or other related software systems is a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge or experience with designs containing steel, concrete and/or related structures.
- Knowledge of associated building codes and seismic requirements.
- Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
