POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will serve as executor, change agent, and thought partner to the CEO’s executive team and specifically to the President & CEO as we communicate strategic plan results and key performance indicators (KPI’s) for the current and future Association Strategic Plans. The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Strategic Alignment will be responsible for executing organizational priorities, leading organizational change initiatives, and ensuring alignment across the organization. They will serve as executor, change agent, operational leader and thought partner to the CEO's executive team. Additionally, the SVP of Strategic Alignment will have the responsibility of being the Community and Development liaison to the President & CEO.
DIVISION OF DUTIES:
45% Ensuring alignment across the Association to deliver on activities supporting the Strategic Plan.
25% Project and change management of key initiatives and long term, cross-organizational projects
20% Supporting the CEO in identifying and prioritizing growth opportunities and key initiatives that directly tie to the Association long-term strategy.
10% Serving as a Community Development liaison to the President & CEO
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Creates systems and practices to ensure alignment across the Association to deliver on activities supporting the Strategic Plan.
  • Supports the Senior Team in identifying priorities, strategically aligning work and reviewing regularly to assess progress and continuously ensure strategy alignment across the Association
  • Develops organizational goals and strategic action plans to meet the KPIs of the strategic plan across the Association
  • Develops and manages strategic alignment of activities supporting the Strategic Plan
  • Develops evaluation strategies to drive organizational improvements
  • Supports the Senior Team in the project and change management of key initiatives and long term, cross-functional projects
  • Ensures continuous improvement and practice alignment across the Association
  • Builds cross-organizational relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ensures communication of progress and status updates across the Association
  • Represents the CEO in the community as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field is preferred.
  • Eight or more years of professional experience with the YMCA or another non-profit is required.
  • Three to five years of project and/or change management experience preferred.
  • Successful track record managing teams in achieving desired outcomes and developing multi-functional work plans.
  • Demonstrated ability in successfully promoting innovative ideas to diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence others by interacting with a broad range of stakeholders with different interests and needs is required.
  • Demonstrated strong ability to influence others and create buy-in.
  • Ability to demonstrate or develop an in-depth understanding of culture and business processes across multiple departments.
  • Demonstrated record as action-taker and ability to execute plans and strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous deadlines while maintaining a steadfast attention to detail is required.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Visio, Publisher, Outlook) and PC skills are required.
