Position Description: Senior Web Developer

Summary
The Senior Web Developer is responsible for overseeing all website development projects, associated vendors and managing development staff. Working with internal and external stakeholders, the Senior
Web Developer will determine client needs, perform research and make recommendations then design, build, optimize and maintain websites and other digital properties.

The Senior Web Developer reports to the Creative Director.

Responsibilities

• Works with internal account team and external clients to design, build, optimize and maintain digital properties.
• Performs both front end and back end digital property development (full stack), including working with clients during planning, building user-friendly and optimized properties, client training and back end maintenance.
• Researches and stays abreast of current platforms, technology trends and emerging technology.
• Tells client stories and promotes user engagement through compelling design, search engine marketing (SEM) and platform optimization.
• Dissects analytics to provide useful reports to clients and to determine strategy for development, edits or additional changes.
• Maintains back end functions for client websites, performs routine patches, version and security updates and makes clients edits as needed.
• Utilizes time management to plan daily workflow, monitor deadlines and budgets.
• Participates in client training for new digital properties and processes and for other pertinent technology content.
• Serves as a technology expert to speak publicly (meetings, conferences, television, etc.) about technology and digital media.
• Understands social media platforms and how to best optimize outcomes for social media campaign engagement.
• Assists clients in resolving issues by responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Troubleshoots issues, debugs client websites and provides updated documentation to client.
• Maintains digital files and libraries and oversees appropriate organization of team digital files.
• Maintains contact information and cultivates relationships with technical vendors and oversees hiring and project management with vendors.
• Acts as a steward for both firm and client resources.
• Communicates progress regularly to both internal customers and external clients.
• Builds the Moxley Carmichael brand by providing value and outstanding service to clients and potential clients.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Demonstrated experience and/or thorough understanding of full stack web development and preferred technology platforms.
• Strong listening, research, analytical and reporting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to be self-directed and resourceful.
• Ability to delegate to support staff.
• Ability to handle pressure, multi-task and work under tight deadlines on numerous projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
