Service Mechanic for Heavy Equipment Responsibilities:

• Analyze malfunctions and repairs,
• Rebuild and maintain construction equipment, such as wheel loaders, excavators, pavers/rollers, material handlers, and articulated trucks
• Operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose defects.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Replace defective engines and subassemblies such as transmissions.
• Weld broken parts and structural members.
• Must be able to read and comprehend repair manuals.
• Other related job functions may include, but not limited to:
• Examines parts for damage and/or excessive wear
• Using micrometers and gauges.
• Tests overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiently.
• Use computer to diagnose problems

Service Mechanic for Heavy Equipment Qualifications:

• Must have at least 5 years experience
• Knowledge on all types of construction equipment including
• Loaders, Excavators, Material Handlers, Backhoes, Rollers, and Off Road Trucks
• Cummins and Isuzu engine knowledge helpful
• Yanmar engines, a plus
• Must have computer knowledge
• Must have own tools
• Good communication skills
