Job description
The Set Up Technician (Mold Setter) at ConMet’s Canton, North Carolina facility sets up and adjusts injection machines with manual clamps used to mold plastic materials to specified shapes by utilizing knowledge of machine functions.
Our Canton facility was established in 2004 and supplies injection molded, structural foam, gas counter pressure and highly decorative molded plastic products to large heavy truck OEM's. The plant is located 20 miles west of Asheville in the scenic mountains of Western North Carolina.
What You Will Do:
- Install mold into machine
- Set up for appropriate mold per parameters
- Operate and inspect overhead cranes and forklifts to assure they are in good operating condition
- Notify supervisor of unresolved problems with items or equipment
- Comply with all plant and OSHA guidelines
- Other duties may be assigned
