Job Description:

· Identify settled accounts as to who is responsible (insurance, patient, etc. )

· If insurance is responsible, request settlement contract from law firms, send out for payment to the insurance carrier with appropriate correspondence or state of IL.

· Update all clinics and settlement tracking log

· Notify clients for patient responsibility accounts after confirming with A/R Manager.

· Tracking settled cases/updating Medisoft final draft with details of terms

· Resend all medical (unpaid) to insurance carriers

o Always attach appeal letter with terms of settlement breakdown

· Call/reprocess underpayments for insurance responsibility

· Appeal for underpayments or settled cases insurance responsibility

· For patients where there is an underpayment, identify and separate in the following manner:

o Identify underpayments that were denied per UR (with no appeal), IME that denied treatment

o Identify and log underpayments with no valid reason. Identify:

§ Date of service

§ Amount of underpayment

§ CPT codes

§ Fee schedule amount

§ Actual payment from Insurance

Skills:

· Basic knowledge of CPT codes within 120 days

· Ability to multitask

· Ability/understanding of Microsoft Suite

· Basic knowledge of Medisoft within one week of start date

· Basic knowledge of eBridge within one week of start date.

· Ability to read and understand an EOB within one week of the start date.

· Basic knowledge of various software programs used by IMS within one week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
