Shipping Specialist

Our "xx" department in "xx location" is now looking for a Shipping Specialist.

Key Duties:
- Coordinate with Customer Service and carriers to ensure shipments leave on time to meet the customers’ needs and stay within service level.
- Build relationships with carriers to ensure timely pickups and loading/wait times as well as trouble shoot any Over, Short and Damaged (OS&D) claims or return issues.
- Prepare proper documentation for international shipments (i.e. commercial invoices, shipper’s letter of intent, and other declarations) and create bookings in a timely manner.
- Keep track and report inventory levels as well as ordering supplies as needed.
- Provide tracking and other information to customer service.
- Prepare shipment of chairs with quality packaging and loading.
Required Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to multitask and communicate effectively
- Common working knowledge of Excel and Outlook
Experience Required:
- Knowledge of common warehouse procedures preferred
- 6 months or more of Shipping and/or Receiving experience preferred
- Powered industrial truck experience preferred
