Closet Factory Boston is looking for a Full Time Shop Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting, entry-level opportunity where you will be surrounded by woodworking/fabrication professionals and be able to learn excellent skills through hands-on training.
We design, manufacture & install a variety of custom storage systems including closets, garages, home offices, murphy beds and everything in between.
Your primary responsibility will be driving parts out to job sites, keeping the shop clean, and acting as a backup for our woodshop staff
We are looking for someone who wants to build a career with Closet Factory Boston, and we are willing to train the right person with basic carpentry skills for this fast-paced team environment.
If you have a clean driving record, enjoy working with your hands and are a team player willing to jump in wherever is necessary, this is the job for you!
Responsibilities:
- Driving parts out to job sites
- Cutting and packaging rods and toe kicks
- Active shop team member helping to keeping the shop clean and organized
- Act as a backup for CNC Operator, EdgeBander and Drawer Builder (we will train you)
Requirements:
- Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
- Some experience with hand tools and/or power tools such as miter saw, table saw, nail guns and screw guns is a plus but not required
- Positive, upbeat attitude
- Team player
- Ability to take direction & learn quickly
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs.
- Forklift license is a plus but not required
This is a Monday-Friday 8am-5pm shift
