Shifts: 2nd & 3rd shift

Hourly: $25.25 - $ 28.25 DOE

Location: Anaheim / Fullerton, CA

**Incumbent eligible for a $1000.00 signing bonus payable after 6 months of continuous service **

Position Summary: This position drives gasoline or diesel powered tractor trailer combination to transport and deliver products in loose or packaged form.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
  • Follow all safety procedures.
  • Drives truck to destination, as well as docking to dock door.
  • Inspects truck before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
  • Maintains driver log according to I.C. regulations, and other records as required.
  • Assists workers in loading and unloading truck.
  • Hooks up and unhooks trailers.
  • Operates tractor trailer combination and hauls both full and empty trailers.
  • Operates Yard Goat.
  • Operates forklift, current forklift certification required.
  • General
    • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.
    • All other duties as assigned.
    • Work scheduled shift, weekends, and extended hours as required.
    • Regular and punctual attendance.
  • To perform this job successfully, must be able to perform each fundamental task listed above satisfactorily.

Competencies:

  • Must possess current class “A” driver’s license.
  • Must possess current Tanker Endorsement.
  • Must be able to operate 3 axle tractor and trailer safely.
  • Ability to operate 10 speed, 9 speed, 8 speed and super 10 speed transmissions.
  • Pull 53’, 48’ and 45’ trailers.
  • Physically be able to drop and hook trailers up to 25 times a day.
  • Available to work any day or shift with little to no advance notice.
  • Able to complete all Federal and State mandated paperwork, log books, daily vehicle inspections, etc.
  • Able to pass and comply with all pre-employment physical and random D.O.T. drug screens.
  • Clean DMV driving record.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.);
  • Three to six months related experience;
  • Or, an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Must possess current class “A” driver’s license.
  • Must possess current Tanker Endorsement.
  • Must be able to operate 3 axle tractor and trailer safely.
  • Ability to operate 10 speed, 9 speed, 8 speed and super 10 speed transmissions.
  • Pull 53’, 48’ and 45’ trailers.

Language Skills: English required, Spanish helpful.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
