Position Overview
Assists captain of the aircraft with flight duties. Supports captain in calculating flight routes, speed, and take-off and landing times to ensure aircraft meets scheduling requirements. Keeps navigation manuals and charts up-to-date. Must stay current with federal and local flight regulations. Must be capable of taking full control of aircraft while in flight. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Requires FAA pilot certificate with necessary type ratings.
PZ0-Professional: Years of experience may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.
Key Result Areas (KRAs)

Pilot expected to operate as SIC in C525

Pilot will maintain currency in C525

Pilot currency/Maintain licenses/medical requirements

Verification of flight data, EFB, GPS data

Oversight of preparing aircraft for daily use

Flight planning/filing/NOTAM/TFR/Special use permits

Trigger and verify ground details

Ensure preflight inspections are performed and aircraft is prepared for flight

Study weather conditions at destination, en route, and alternate airports
-
Review and calculate aircraft weight and balance, fuel onboard, and aircraft performance.

Serve as a pilot in command for assigned flights including all FAR duties and responsibilities.

Make the decision to start/delay/cancel flights or deviate from planned route as deemed necessary

Post flight procedures

Maintenance/status updates and tracking for each flight

Maintaining awareness of aircraft status (both cosmetic and mechanical)

Track travel expenses

All flight prep duties will be ready prior to scheduled departure time

All required licenses and all required currency

Comply with schedules and other directives governing aircraft operation

Yearly insurance/proficiency training
-
40 hours per week - minimum of 8 hours of rest per 24 hour period

Pilot will be well-rested and in a good physical and mental state for flights
Minimum Flight Times

1000 TT hours preferred

100 ME

IFR Proficiency and experience highly valued

Multi-engine and jet time highly valued
Job Qualifications

Must have Commercial license with Multi-Engine and Instrument ratings

C525 type rating
-
CJ4 time is a plus, 50+ hours highly preferred

Flight instructor certification preferred, not required

Single-Pilot resource management and crew resource management (CRM) training

First or Second Class Medical required

Strong interpersonal skills

Self-motivated, team player

Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules (flexible schedule)

Must be willing to relocate for job (preferably live within an hour of Grants Pass)
Competencies

Qualified applicants must be at least 21 years old and be able to read, write, and understand technical English
Physical Requirements

Able to lift 50 lbs. Routinely

Must be able to work in a climate-controlled, office environment, operate outdoors and aircraft cockpit

Vision must be good or corrected to normal to perform normal job duties and must meet Class II FAA vision requirements or better

Hearing must be good to have the ability to understand information to perform job duties and must meet Class II FAA hearing requirements or better

Ability to read and write in English in order to process paperwork and follow up on any actions necessary

Sitting for extended periods of time

Manual dexterity needed for keyboarding and other repetitive tasks
