Raise a Child of The Carolinas (The RACC) is a 501c3 non-profit organization focused on exposing youth to educational opportunities that are underrepresented in their communities, thus inspiring them to reach their full potential. The RACC organization was started in 2018 and provides local children with tutoring and seasonal camps. The RACC also partners with Mecklenburg County Schools to offer after school education solutions to supplement the day learning process.
The RACC is looking for a Site Coordinator that will be responsible for the management and supervision of the day-to-day operation of The Raise a Child of The Carolinas after school programs at the program site. The Site coordinator will be responsible for assuring high-quality program services and support to enrolled children and their families and sufficient levels of communication.

- Ability to communicate effectively using written and oral communication skills

- Supervise the notification and registration of the children selected to participate
- Supervise instructional, non -instructional, volunteers, and students who are participating.
- Ensure staff supervise enrichment, recreational and academic tutoring lessons.
- Leads and facilitates ongoing planning efforts of staff and community partners to achieve academic and social outcomes.
- Provides high quality supervision and coaching for all project staff and partners. Ensures project staff establishes and maintains procedures to adequately document program activities and services.
- Ensures individual student and programmatic evaluation activities are consistently implemented.
- Engages in coaching, problem solving/conflict resolution activities as needed to ensure effective program operation and high levels of staff and partner performance.
- Exhibits ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- Recruit and enroll program participants to meet daily attendance requirements.
- Coordination and integration of staff and partners efforts to achieve intended academic and social outcomes.
- Collaborate with community agencies to provide appropriate extracurricular activities
- Attend staff meetings to provide information and updates on the program.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with community based organizations, public agencies, local universities, and city agencies.
- Fiscal responsibility for any fees collected for the program, i.e., field trip etc.
- Work with Program Director to collect data necessary for evaluation
- Develop and maintain a high level of communication and positive relationships with principal, teachers, office staff, custodians, and after school staff.
- Be directly supervised by the Program Director with cooperation from the building administrator.
- Provide Program orientation, encourage involvement, and maintain monthly contact with families and school.
- Provide on-going family involvement activities, services and special events under the direction of the Program Director.
- Respond promptly and courteously to parent concerns and/or complaints.
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and performance.
- Submit all paperwork by deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Education, Community Education or related field, other degrees will be considered.
- Work experience of 5-10 years or more in positions serving youth will be considered in the absence of a Bachelor's degree.
- Up to 2 years of successful experience providing school–based and school related programming for children, successful experience working with high risk children and families, excellent communication skills and ability to work with individuals of diverse cultural/ethnic backgrounds.
- Prior experience in staff supervision preferred.
