You will be working with the Facilities team which is responsible for Bloomberg Industry Group’s physical security and safety programs. You are passionate about security, safety and customer service and can handle yourself well in a variety of situations. You will focus on physical access controls, security system upgrades, vendor management, vulnerability management, and life/safety.

What you will do:

Manage security operations and security vendors at multiple sites.

Oversee security vendor relationship including budgeting, post assignments, guard tours, daily/weekly/monthly inspections, certification requirements, training, policies and procedures, supplies, emergency response, front of house appearance, communications, and host regular meetings.

Establish and maintain relationships with business affiliates, service providers, local law enforcement and emergency responders and adjacent building owners.

Plan and coordinate security operations coverage for special events and evacuation drills.

Identify risks and work with leadership to revise security policies, protocols, and procedures.

Perform regular audits to ensure security credential requests are fulfilled properly.

Provide timely response for all security and safety needs.

Write and deliver security operations status and incident reports in a timely fashion.

Coordinate scheduling of life/safety inspections (Fire Alarm, Elevator, etc.) and general maintenance.

Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
You need to have:

Demonstrated working knowledge of security system software/hardware and procedures.

Demonstrated ability to organize and lead the work of others in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressure.

Outstanding organizational and team building skills.

Ability to work fast and smart in a high-pressure environment.

Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain good relationships with customers, staff, and vendors.

5 years of experience in physical security, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Ability to respond to emergencies 24/7 and support after hours events.

Reliable transportation and are willing to travel.
