What you can expect:

Under the direction of the Practice Manager, the Site Supervisor organizes and oversees support staff in the delivery of patient care services.


How you will make an impact:

  • Responsible for coordinating support staff schedules and hours, including vacation approval and facility coverage.
  • Assesses staffing patterns and recommends changes.
  • Oversees daily activities of support staff to ensure that daily tasks are completed.
  • Assists in the selection, orientation, training, and performance evaluation of support personnel.
  • Participates in the orientation of support staff and new providers.
  • Assists with support staff performance appraisals in a timely manner.
  • Acts as liaison between Practice Manager, support staff, medical staff, and patients.
  • Responsible for identification and resolution of problems with patient billing matters.
  • Responsible for overseeing daily deposits and funds collected.
  • Responsible for procurement of supplies and ordering procedures.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of operational and clinical policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and other legal and regulatory agencies to ensure standards of performance for quality care.
  • Assists support staff in site preparation for site surveys and inspections.
  • Resolves operational issues and ensures that policies and procedures are carried out appropriately.
  • Provides direct supervision of Medical Assistant staff.
  • Provides support as Medical Assistant during staffing shortages.
  • Operates as Manager on Duty (contact for staff, patient & provider issues, and monitors clinic flow) when Practice Manager OOTO or otherwise unavailable.
  • Responsible for monitoring and overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of the health center and equipment in a manner consistent with the highest standard of safety, sanitation, efficiency, and appearance. Requires collaboration with Facilities and Safety teams.

QUALIFICATIONS, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:

Required:

  • High school degree or GED required.
  • Certification as CMA or RMA
  • Proficient use of computer applications such as GE Centricity, Excel and Word.
  • Two to three years of experience in patient services/electronic medical record setting.
  • Ability to apply policies and procedures and principles to solve everyday problems and deal with a variety of situations.
  • Ability to exercise initiative, problem-solving and decision making.
  • Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurances.
  • Possession of essential and relevant interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in organizing staff effectively in providing the required customer service.
  • Ability to give priority to workload, meet targeted deadlines.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Good demonstration of leadership traits.
  • Outstanding aptitude working with numbers.
  • Must possess strong communication and demonstrate an ability to work effectively with diverse populations.


Preferred:

  • Bilingual – Spanish/English highly regarded.
