What does this role entail?

• Educate members about the YMCA programs and mission
• Monitor access to the facility by ensuring members and participants check-in upon arrival
• Answer all incoming calls in a courteous manner
• Maintain working knowledge of skate park and Association programs in order to educate members
• Greet, interview and tour feature skate park members
• Create a safe and fun skating/riding environment
• Supervise participants at all times
• Model the values and mission of the YMCA
• Follow YMCA standards and procedures
• Build professional relationships with members, participants, staff and the community

What do I need to bring do the table?

• Must be 18 or older
• Passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to the mission and cause of the YMCA
• Experience with Action Sports
• Must possess flexibility especially in scheduling shifts, including ability to work weekends
• The physical ability to lift 35 pounds
• Experience with basic windows based applications
• Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency

• CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification obtained within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations:
  • American Red Cross
  • American Heart Association
  • American Safety & Health Institute
