Job Description
Price County is accepting applications for a Certified Social Worker to join our team in the Children & Youth Division of the Department of Health and Human Services. Work involves Child Protective Services, Juvenile Delinquency, in-home services including family assessments and treatment planning, case management, after-hours on-call services and alternate care services. Position functions are performed in an office, client home and community setting. This is a full time, regular position with a full benefit package and starting hourly wage range of $27.15 to $29.58 (Grade H) depending on experience. Benefits include Wisconsin Retirement System with employer match, health insurance (up to 90% of the premium paid by employer) with employer HRA reimbursement, vacation, 10 paid holidays, paid sick leave, and paid maternity/paternity leave. Dental/vision, flex spending, WI Deferred Comp, life, short-term disability, accident and cancer/critical illness coverages are available. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum qualifications include: -

Bachelor"s Degree in Social Work or another
related field that qualifies the individual for certification as a Social
Worker
·
Current certification in the state of
Wisconsin as a Social Worker or attainment within 12 months of employment
·
Two years post degree experience in a
human service setting working with target population preferred
·
The ability to work a flexible schedule
and perform after-hours services when needed or scheduled (on-call rotation
requires weekend, evening, and holiday service)
·
The ability to arrive at local law-enforcement
within 30 minutes when performing after-hours on-call services
·
Possess a valid Wisconsin driver"s
license and access to reliable vehicle insured to county-required limits
The selection process for this position may include an employment history evaluation, a personal interview and a pre-employment physical, including drug screening. Candidate must also be able to pass the Caregiver Background check and the WiSACWIS background check.
