Alert Innovation, now powered by Walmart, is a fast-growing venture on a mission to reinvent retailing through robotics. We've partnered with Walmart to develop our Alphabot® technology, which is currently being deployed at stores throughout North America.

The Software Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading a group of engineers to test our robotics control systems. You will be responsible for coordinating testing for their functional areas, mentoring junior engineers and reporting on product quality. To be successful in this role, you will be relentless in finding ways to improve our processes and increasing development efficiency. You will guide your team towards using our automated testing frameworks while providing the frameworks team with requirements that will help us improve automated test coverage.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON:

• Work with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive test plans for new functionality in testing our robotics software
• Develop efficient test strategies for the different systems making up the product
• Develop and execute automated and manual smoke, regression, functional, and acceptance tests
• Report defects and investigate/debug failures
• Identify trends in failures and implement countermeasures to prevent recurrence of failures
• Participate in process improvements
• Occasional travel to the client site

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• 8+ years' experience working in software testing
• 2+ years experience leading a team of Software Quality Engineers
• Must have a solid understanding and ability to develop code in Python or other mainstream language
• Hands-on experience with unix based required
• Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration systems and cloud technologies a must
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to analyze complex problems in large systems
• Must be detail oriented, analytical and creative thinker with passion for quality and test automation

Pay: $153,450.00 - $187,550.00 per year
