Position Summary
Responsible for the validation of vehicle functional control system software. The Software Validation Engineer will test a variety of applications from Vehicle Charging and Operation to communication interfaces with Autonomous Systems for Remote Drive Capabilities.
Position Responsibilities
- Meet with development team to review specifications and requirements
- Design simulated unit test cases for automated testing of software
- Create manual test cases for bench and vehicle validation
- Perform validation tasks and document results
- Analyze code coverage during unit testing process
- Work with development team to fix deficiencies of control software
- Create software tools to simulate command interfaces of autonomy systems
- Design, code and use test programs for validation tasks
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited university or other Science or Engineering degree with relevant industry experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and with a team
Ideal Candidates Will Also Have
- Previous experience with software development or validation for Heavy Equipment
- Experience with TESSY for unit testing
