Position Summary:

Semper Solaris is looking for an organized and motivated Project Manager for our Solar Operations department. This person will perform a wide variety of administrative and communication duties including but not limited to scheduling various milestones through the life of project and coordinating with customers and colleagues to drive project completion in a timely manner producing a 5-Star experience for every customer interaction. Must have previous office administrative, customer service experience and previous solar and/or roofing experience.

The ideal candidate will be conversationally articulate, highly computer literate with experience utilizing MS Office programs Word and Excel.  Experience with Salesforce is a plus. They will be a team player who is also comfortable taking charge of operational flow and advocating for the customer. They will be polished, professional and have strong organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing responsibilities and work assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage pipeline of customers in a variety of work queues
  • Keep jobs moving forward and on time
  • Collect on accounts receivable and submit information to corporate office
  • Answer incoming calls and field questions from customers and Subcontractors
  • Advocate for the customer and engage with the appropriate staff to ensure project is meeting SLAs and timelines
  • Advocate for the company and use knowledge and sincerity to overcome customer frustrations around construction challenges
  • Utilize conflict management skills and escalate issues as needed
  • Communicate effectively with branch personnel using a professional, empowering approach
  • Provide daily reports and update to management
  • Generate goodwill for the company in the form of 5-star reviews and referrals
  • Conduct QA/QC inspections of subcontractors to ensure proper workmanship and overall job quality
  • Train and educate field personnel in best practices and the “Semper Way”
  • Create training protocols as deemed necessary to correct installation deficiencies
  • Be available for emergency field calls when required
  • Job will be partially field based, and candidate will be expected to work hand in hand with Subcontractors and get on roofs as needed
  • Perform other duties and tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of solar industry, electrical codes, and OSHA requirements
  • Previous experience with ground mounted systems and battery installations
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in the solar industry
  • Must have experience in a lead or supervisor capacity, where you were responsible for the work of others
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, time management and follow-up skills
  • Ability to manage long term relationships with customers, colleagues, and vendors
  • Ability to manage small team, delegating responsibilities and following up on progress
  • Proven ability to effectively manage complex processes
  • Experience with Salesforce and proficient in Microsoft Office programs

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
  • Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs regularly, and be comfortable with heights of at least 20 feet and walking on all roof types
  • Able to work in various weather conditions and in extreme temperatures
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly

Pay : 65k to 70k per yr
