Solutions Architect
Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, VA 22448
150 - 170K (Depending on experience) - Full Time with Benefits
Hybrid Role (On-site 3 days a week - 2 days remote)

The Solutions Architect will research, design, and map out solutions to complex technical issues, ultimately creating technical requirements outline for prospective projects. You will design system architecture, infrastructure, provide software recommendations, and need to be highly skilled in application and infrastructure troubleshooting.

As the Solutions Architect, your responsibilities will include:*

Performed technology assessments, impact analyses, cost/benefit analyses, and best value assessments in support of hardware/software procurement strategies.

• Build architectural and technical plans which provide the basis for technical estimation and a roadmap for the Operational Engineering team to build upon.
• Be an expert within the industry and have an understanding of the norms and trends in order to produce the most effective and on time work as possible.
• Leverage strong communication and presentation skills around complex technical solutions during frequent interactions with both external and internal stakeholders, including technical department representatives, subject matter experts and other Engineers
• Utilize proven multi-tasking skills when transitioning between multiple engagements across different customers, averaging between 2-5 primary and simultaneously running projects
• Embrace Agile Scrum development environment with corresponding sprint cycles, work products, and continuous CI/CD processes
• Discovery of customer's critical business issues and requirements and designing solutions to meet the requirements.
• Create and lead or participate in customer presentations.

DOD Secret Security Clearance - If you had a Secret clearance in the past 24 months, we may be able to reactivate it

OR_ you _will be processed for a clearance.

• BS in Computer Science or electrical engineering is required. ***Master's in Computer Science or electrical engineering is highly desired.
• Ten (10) years’ experience
• Project management and leadership skills are essential
• Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure
• Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
• Experience in software engineering and design architecture
• Positive outlook in meeting challenges and working to a high level Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes
