Position Description:

As a Solution Controller you will be responsible for managing complex client projects and internal initiatives. This is a customer-faced role responsible for driving highly professional execution of projects and setting a high standard for delivering on customer expectations through effective management of deliverables and project resources.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures project delivery follows process guidelines while communicating to all project stakeholders
• Owns functional requirements that must be clearly documented, are comprehensive, and easily trackable
• Analyze and determine project priorities, risks, and requirements for specific tasks
• Set internal customer expectations and maintain regular status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate project issue status to management and realistically represent the urgency of issues to be resolved.
• Act as a liaison between external and internal stakeholders for customer implementation projects
• Perform client support through weekly status updates, issue resolution, and serve as a knowledge resource
• Drive effective communication and collaboration and commitment across internal teams to execute client projects
• Drive project plan development and to balance speed to market and best-in-class quality standards based on cross-functional team requirements
• Support project problem resolution by documenting, collaborating, tracking, and perform timely follow up to help ensure swift resolution
• Provide input into development, improvement, and standardization of business processes that drive better customer service, management reporting, information flow, and organizational planning
• Leads the daily activities of a project lifecycle through project planning, execution, cutover, and closure
• Involved in a multitude of simultaneous scoped customer and internal initiatives from tactical to enterprise-wide, with varying levels of technical depth
• Presents complex stories and information to leadership in a concise and effective way, leveraging data, via PowerPoint or other creative presentation means
• Foster a spirit of urgency and collaboration that fulfills Redwoods’ company values

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, operations management, transportation, business administration, or related field
• 2+ years’ experience as business analyst or project manager

• 1+ years’ experience in logistics, operations, warehousing, transportation, or distribution; experience with customer implementation or integration projects desired
• Demonstrated project management skills and project leadership ability required
• Experience with managing complex projects/programs
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, able to comprehend and relay complex stories
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills, with a passion for and continuous learning
• Comfort using and learning new technology preferred
• Carries a positive attitude and perspective that aligns to Redwood’s core principles
• Self-starter, entrepreneurial, high-energy who can take initiative in a fast-moving environment
• Ability to effectively build relationships across Redwood companies at all levels
