We are seeking a Sommelier to act as an expert able to curate and enhance our wine program. The Sommelier's responsibilities include recommending wine varieties to our guests, supervising wine service, and collaborating with winemakers to renew our selections and achieve better prices. To be qualified for this role, you should have relevant experience in hospitality or a vineyard and be available to work during business hours. Ultimately, you will delight our guests by helping them choose the best wine to complement their fare.

Education and/or Experience:
3-5 Years of Sommelier experience
Language Skills:
Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.

Responsibilities:
- Curating the wine list in coordination with the Executive Chef and Beverage Director
- Recommend food and wine pairings tableside guiding our guest's experience
- Educate our service team about different varieties of wines and proper service
- Ensure wines served at the right temperature and within the proper glassware
- Ensure all Wines are stored properly following a Bin system, Managing wine storage and inventory
- Negotiate purchase prices with vendors and vintners
- Organize wine tasting dinners and events with the Executive Chef, Beverage Director, and Sales and Marketing Director
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE WE'RE SEEKING:
Requirements and Skills:
- Experience as a Sommelier, Wine Steward/Stewardess or similar role
- Ability to create tasteful food and wine pairings
- Extensive knowledge of Wine and the regions that produce each varietal
- Knowledge of local vineyards and wineries
- Understanding of the winemaking process
- Good communication skills
- Availability to work during opening hours, including weekends and holidays
- Flexibility to travel occasionally to meet with wine producers and visit wine-tasting events
- Certification as a Sommelier, degree in hospitality, or equivalent experience
