Role and Responsibilities

This is an ESSENTIAL POSITION. Essential personnel are defined as employees required to be reachable at all times, to ensure the operation of essential functions or departments. This includes emergencies and shutdowns. Failure to comply by an essential employee will result in CORRECTIVE ACTION, up to and including termination of employment.

Obtains general knowledge of the processing plant its operations and is required to continue training and gain experience. Charts pressure, temperature, and other characteristics of processing plant. Processes and interprets findings for use in determining adjustments necessary for product specification or producing procedures by performing the following duties:

· Upon arrival, perform all tasks listed in Soy Utility Operator Routine Duties.

· During routine rounds look for and be aware of conditions that are potential compliance (environmental, health, safety, security, or quality) hazards or violations of CRC's established compliance policies. Ensure to follow CRC policy when making notifications of incidents.

· Scale in/out trucks

· Load/unload trucks

· Perform general inspection activities when making rounds in the process area.

· Collect samples each shift per CRC’s QAQC Sampling Collection program

· Perform specific monitoring and operation of the Soy Crush and Degumming Plants.

· Perform specific monitoring and operating activities pertaining the Soy Utility Operator Routine Duties.

· Assist with preventative maintenance tasks in the soy crush and degumming plants.

· Act as vacation relief to the Soy Crush Operator, Soy Degumming Operator, and the Grain Elevator Operator.

· Operate forklift to assist in the movement of heavy objects.

· Perform and/or assist in the waste removal of the soy crush division.

· Lockout/Tagout equipment per CRC’s Energy Control program.

· Perform needed adjustments to unity and notify others.

· Assist in training and others in the performance of their duties.

· Report abnormal/critical conditions regarding equipment.

· Perform housekeeping daily and as needed.

· Report non-compliance situations to Operations Manager and Compliance Department

· Monitor sewers and basins to maintain

· Have knowledge, support, champion, and follow all requirements.

· Support and champion quality for all products and services produced or provided by CRC to ensure the highest quality product and services.

· Have full understanding and complete support CRC’s company vision, mission, and core values.

· Support and champion environmental, health, safety, and security programs to ensure full compliance with CRC.

· Identify and assist in the development of training requirements for employees. Attend and actively participate in all required training.

· Ensure that all injuries, illnesses, and/or accidents are reported to the EHSS and HR Departments.

· Continuously seek to improve CRC processes and procedures while maintaining good safety, environmental, security, and quality culture.

· Have full knowledge, understanding and champion all emergency procedures, including those involving hazardous materials/wastes.

· Other duties as assigned and trained.

Required Skills

· Attendance, integrity, willingness to learn and goal driven

· Good verbal and written communication skills.

· General mathematical skills, with ability to perform mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, measurements, etc.

· Must be able to operate all products testing equipment necessary to obtain accurate results

· Must be able to perform all required mathematical calculations with or without the use of a calculator.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· High School Graduate or equivalent.

· Qualifying score for all pre-employment aptitude and post-offer physical requirements testing required to perform essential duties of this position List Qualifications and Requirements.

Preferred Skills

· Strong team orientation yet able to work independently.

· Knowledge of, unloading racks, product blenders and automation systems.

· Mechanical aptitude.

· Able to use basic hand tools.

· Have and maintain a valid driver’s license for state of residence.

· Customer service oriented.

· Normal ability to see, distinguish colors, hear, smell and taste.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

· The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; during daylight hours and times of darkness. The employee is frequently required to perform duties during inclement and occasionally severe weather. The employee has potential exposure to fumes, dusts, mists, vapor, acids and caustics. There is potential exposure to hot surfaces and live steam. The employee will be working around pressurized vessels and piping which contains heated combustible and flammable materials. There is a risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places. Duties may include entry into permit-required and non-permit-required confined spaces. Bump and impact hazards are present in the form of vessels, piping, stationery/moving machinery, and vehicular traffic. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally high. A potential exist for fire, explosion, or catastrophic release of toxic chemicals.
