Special Events Coordinator at The Little Gym of Idaho Falls

The Special Events Coordinator (SEC) will report directly to the Director and is responsible for teaching exceptional classes, delivering The Little Gym programs according to standards and recommendations and for the planning and implementation of all Parties, Member Events, CAMPS, Parent Survival Nights and local GRASSROOTS events.

• S/he will teach the best classes and special events
• S/he must be physically fit, energetic, and enthusiastic.
• S/he must learn several different Lesson Plans for classes, parties, Parent Survival Nights, etc. and be able to implement them based on the needs of individual students and classes.
• The S/he must have the ability to juggle several tasks and adapt well to change.
• S/he must relate well to children, parents, and team members.
• The SEC will be the front line of customer communication and service for all parties. They must be able to assist in the promotion of The Little Gym and sell the program, parties, and Parent Survival Nights at every opportunity.
• There will be requirements to work from your TLGIF assigned laptop as well as coordinate and lead grassroots events in collaboration with the Directors
• This position will be approximately 70% of your time in the gym leading/assisting or hosting exceptional classes/events and 30% of your time at the desk, lobby or at your laptop / in the community working on the execution of your job duties.
• The SEC will need to manage their time wisely and be able to coordinate all positions for events and step in to cover events or call in team members to help when staffing is justified in order to provide our community members with high quality classes and events in a TIMELY manner.
• This job requires you to be an effective leader and delegate tasks or complete tasks efficiently and in a TIMELY manner.
• The SEC will be required to work most Fridays and Saturdays

Instructor Desired Experience/Qualifications:

• Proven performance through experience in teaching, leading or coaching children Ages 4 months – 12 years of age in a related field or community experience is required.
• A degree and/or certification in event planning is ideal
• An associate’s degree in Event planning or Marketing/Public relations is ideal
• Background or training in any of the following is ideal Gymnastics/Dance/Cheer/Athletics (or other related sport) performance/coaching
• Sales and/or customer service
• First Aid/ Child and Adult CPR certified in order to work onsite in the gym as part of leadership team.
