Overview

The Supply Chain Specialist will support the day-to-day supply chain activities of the dedicated department(s) within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of inventory management, planning, procurement, and ERP systems.

Key Accountabilities

• Participate 0-3 month planning meetings with Planning department and cross functional team members.
• Develop/Manage a planning strategy for consumable materials needed within the department
• Analyze consumable material consumption to ensure adequate stock is on hand. Balance on hand inventory, demand and associated lead times to optimize inventory levels
• Create Purchase Requisitions (PR) for consumable materials and services for the department, and address any questions during the PR approval process
• Schedule and plan department external services/ coordinate with management for internal services.
• Monitor timelines and communicate status of department services
• Create and provide detailed inventory reports to Department Head and Supply Chain Head
• Identify key procurement and supply chain risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies
• Lead change management efforts
• Identify roadblocks to effective department and then develop and implement solutions.
• Develop prioritization based on plant need and communicate with management

Qualifications

• Minimum: Bachelor's Degree

• Preferred: C.P.M. and/or CPIM certification desirable

Experience

• Minimum: 1+ years supply chain operational experience
• Preferred: C.P.M. and/or CPIM certification desirable

Skills

• Computer literate
• Knowledgeable in SAP and MS Office
• Inventory Management understanding
• Good presentation and written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledgeable in supply chain practices and techniques
• Ability to work independently
• Flexible and accommodating as priorities change rapidly
• Ability to handle multiple priorities with short timelines
• Extremely strong accuracy and attention to detail
• Comprehension of materials and other procurement, supply chain systems preferred
