USN currently operates two high-performing elementary schools (K-5) and two high-performing middle schools (6-8) that serve more than 1,000 students. Position Description*
The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) at United Schools Network (USN) is an exciting opportunity for SLPs to gain experience in a school setting. The USN SLP will serve the speech and language needs at three USN schools - two middle schools and one elementary school and provide direct services to students with speech and language goals in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). They will also consult with general education teachers, evaluate students who may be entering special education, serve on the IEP team for students with speech and language goals, and complete required special education paperwork such as progress reports. This position is integral to the success of each school’s Special Education Department and a unique opportunity for full-time employment in a tight-knit network of schools.

Qualifications:

  • Holds a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  • Holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (preferred).
  • Holds a valid Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, Speech-Language Pathology License, or Conditional License.

  • Strong student advocate and strong problem solving skills.
  • Is open and committed to implementing frequent feedback from team members.
  • Communicates effectively with students, families, and colleagues.

Terms of Employment*

  • Applications will be considered immediately.
  • This is a full-time position.
  • Report times are typically Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., although some job-related tasks can be expected outside of these hours.
  • Salary: $55,000-$75,000/year; commensurate with experience - plus a one-time, temporary bonus of $2,000 for all home office staff members to be distributed evenly across paychecks (starting on 9/30/2022)
