Speech Language Pathologist Position Summary
The Speech-Language Pathologist is a licensed professional who is responsible and accountable for the planning, implementation and delivery of speech pathology services to ensure positive patient outcomes. The Speech-Language Pathologist is involved in assisting the supervisor in compiling reports, data, etc. The SLP is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of disorders affecting speech, language, voice, swallow and cognitive-communicative function for inpatient and outpatient populations.
Speech Language Pathologist Position Requirements
Education
- Masters Degree required from an accredited university in Speech Language Pathology/Communication Disorders.
- Current Maryland Licensure. Licensure requires 20 CEU’s per two (2) years.
- CPR certification.
- Holds a certificate of clinical competency in the area of Speech Language Pathology or CFY eligible.
Experience
- One (1) year clinical experience in an acute care setting (will consider exceptional CFY).
