Landscape Spray Technician - Apply HERE!
Job overview: We are seeking a responsible Spray Technician with an Oregon or Washington Commercial Pesticide Applicators license to join our landscaping crew. You will be responsible for the safe application of pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers used in landscape maintenance and construction. Crews are dispatched from the main Relay office and use company transportation to get to sites. We encourage people with disabilities, a Preferred Worker Card, or other barriers to employment to apply! This is a union-affiliated position (Laborers Local 483).
Wages & Benefits:
- Shift: M-F 6:30AM-3:30PM
- Union wages start at $21.00/hour
- Full-time benefits include medical, dental, 403b retirement plan, and life insurance
- Relay pays 100% of each employee’s medical and dental insurance premiums
- Paid time off, paid sick days, and paid holidays
Responsibilities:
- Apply pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers using various pieces of equipment
- Read and understand contract specifications and landscape frequency charts
- Drive a company vehicle and trailer loaded with equipment to variety of worksites
- Purchase chemicals and monitor weekly inventory
- Communicate maintenance needs to mechanic for any repair of spray equipment
- Experience with diverse populations including employees with disabilities
- Other job duties as assigned
Qualifications:

- Two years of landscape leadership and field training experience
- Experience working with or volunteering with diverse populations and/or people with disabilities is a plus
- Current Oregon or Washington Commercial Pesticide Applicators license
- Able to identify plants by name
- Able to walk, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs. in any kind of environmental condition
- Work independently with little or no supervision
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon acceptance of employment
- Bilingual is a plus
