Currently, we are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant who values a flexible and casual work environment to join our elite team based at our corporate office located in Alpharetta, GA.

Position Purpose (Mission)

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing accounting transactions of a complex nature, preparing, and analyzing financial reports, completing bank reconciliations and completing other balance sheet reconciliations. In addition, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of fixed assets, recording the cost of newly-acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible), tracking and auditing existing fixed assets, recording depreciation (both GAAP and Tax), accounting for the dispositions of fixed assets, preparing financial reports, completing bank reconciliations and completing other balance sheet reconciliations.


  • Responsible for complete fixed asset accounting, including related journal entries, per agreed-upon close timelines.
  • Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those projects once they have been completed.
  • Record acquisition of all new fixed assets with the appropriate life and depreciation method for each accounting book. Assign asset tag numbers to all new fixed assets.
  • Responsible for month-end reports and fixed asset analysis. Proactively resolve any discrepancies.
  • Conduct periodic physical inventory counts of fixed assets.
  • Run monthly and quarterly fixed asset reports.
  • Responsible for various balance sheet accounts including prepaid rent and prepaid insurance. Prepare monthly journal entries, reconcile accounts and proactively resolve financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Review various P&L accounts during month end to determine if additional accruals are necessary (ex. operating supplies).
  • Prepare bank reconciliations for approximately 15 accounts.
  • Responsible for month-end reports as well as corporate and regional allocations, as assigned.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by Manager.

Requirements

Education:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Accounting required
  • CPA preferred

Prior Experience:

  • 2-5 years general ledger experience required
  • Healthcare industry experience a plus

    • Analyzes and interprets financial data, prepares and reviews financial reports to identify trends
    • Exhibits strong analytical skills with ability to extract, summarize and analyze large amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
