POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for supervising and reviewing work provided by a team of staff accountants. Duties may include oversight full cycle accounting functions and activity, monthly financial reporting, cash management, bank reconciliations, budget analysis, and work paper presentation of a group of ambulatory surgical centers (ASC). In addition to these duties, this position may also provide opportunities for involvement in process improvements, financial analysis, and special projects.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES of a SENIOR ACOUNTANT:

Essential Responsibilities:

• Primary resource for internal colleagues regarding operations and/or financial issues.
• Review all work provided by a team of staff accountants.
• Train and mentor staff accountants with regards to technical issues and accounting responsibilities.
• Monthly income statement trend analysis and other preparation for review of ASC financial reports.
• Provide research and assistance with ASC work papers and reconciliations.
• Monitor ASC compliance with accounting controls and policies.
• Provide accounting and general ledger work for specified surgery centers as needed.
• Perform miscellaneous financial analysis.
• Special projects and other job related duties as assigned.

Computer & Software skills requirements:

Ability to use window office suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); Accounting software; PC laptop.

Work Environment:

This position is a remote centric hybrid position. All applicants must be within commutable range of our office located in Nashville, TN.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university. At least 3 years of accounting industry experience. Previous supervisor and/or healthcare experience is a plus, but not required.

Must pass a background check and drug screen.
