Position Summary


Corporate Treasury is responsible for managing the company’s global liquidity requirements, securing corporate and project financing to meet the operating and growth requirements of the business, managing relationships with lenders and rating agencies, corporate insurance, pension plan oversight, working capital management and cash operations.


Within Corporate Treasury, the Midstream Treasury team supports the Midstream business unit with various financial matters. The Midstream Treasury team is responsible for coordinating Midstream Treasury activities including analysis and support on matters related to capital structure, credit ratings, liquidity forecasting, dividends, capital markets and cash management activities.


The Senior Treasury Analyst will be primarily responsible for supporting the Senior Manager, Midstream Treasury on these activities. Hess is interested in developing well-rounded Treasury professionals and longer-term, there is potential for opportunities within the broader Treasury department.


Salary Range:
$106,900 - $155,000


Responsibilities

  • Analyze and recommend capital structure alternatives such as debt/equity issuances and growth in quarterly distributions per unit
  • Support execution of potential capital markets transactions such as debt/equity issuances, share repurchases; review bank credit agreements and other responsibilities, as needed
  • Partner with Midstream organization to maintain financial forecast model
  • Develop and maintain models to predict prospective impact on credit rating resulting from changes in business or financial metrics
  • Prepare analysis and presentations for meetings with senior management, lenders, rating agencies and potential investors
  • Prepare industry and peer analysis for internal management review as needed
  • Monitor compliance for all debt instruments and distribute compliance reports as required
  • Serve as a treasury point of contact for Midstream organization; work with peers across various other functions, including business units, Tax, Accounting and Legal to support broad corporate and Treasury-specific initiatives
  • Assist in various other ad hoc projects


Qualifications


Competencies:

  • Ability to demonstrate strong initiative and willingness to assume a demanding workload in a dynamic environment
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in teams
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels (written and verbal; internal and external)


Experience:

  • 5-7 years of corporate finance experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills


Education:

  • MBA in finance / accounting (completed within last 2-3 years)
