Description & Requirements

Our Accounting team is looking for a Senior Accountant in the US Controller’s Group to assist with the monthly financial statement close process and preparation of consolidated financial statements for all of the US business units. As a Senior Accountant- you will prepare monthly reports and interface with Business Unit personnel in order to review and understand local operations- metrics- and consolidated results. You will also help ensure the appropriate execution of internal controls and policy/procedures governing operational and transactional accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform accounting and reporting tasks to support the month end close which includes: entering transactions- preparing journal entries- reconciling balance sheet accruals and assisting with analytical reviews of consolidated results
  • Partner with Business Units to ensure all activity has been accurately recorded in the general ledger
  • Support all financial related audits including compliance- client- internal and external audits and SOX
  • Maintains processes and procedures to ensure accounting- reporting and controls are in compliance with US GAAP and Kraft Heinz policies
  • Development of new processes as needed by the business to support growth- strategy shifts- and/or “continuous improvement initiatives”

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • Minimum 2-4 years of general accounting experience in a complex environment
  • Public accounting experience with a Big 4 or large regional firm a plus
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to produce high quality work in ambiguous environments- analytically interpret financial information and improve business processes
  • Highly conscientious and proactively seeks to add value
  • Optimistic attitude and creative problem solver
  • Advanced abilities in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Technology savvy with demonstrated ability to learn systems and processes quickly

Office Collaboration & Hybrid Work Environment
