The Strategic and Financial Communications (SFC) team within Corporate Communications is looking to add a senior specialist.

The senior specialist will join an agile group of communicators responsible for high-profile corporate and financial communications like quarterly earnings announcements, Corning’s annual report, and executive speaking opportunities. They will also work cross-functionally with subject matter experts, investor relations, and business and communications colleagues to support the advancement and consistency of Corning’s corporate narrative and brand voice. Additionally, the role will contribute to persuasive communications that differentiate the company and advance its strategic priorities with specific external target audiences, including investors, analysts, business media, partners, and other stakeholders.

Work you'll do:

• Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization to effectively manage and influence strategic outcomes while advancing corporate and financial priorities
• Provide writing and editing support for strategic content such as corporate news announcements, thought leadership pieces, executive and investor-focused communications, as well as internal content
• Lead research initiatives, partnering with business teams, to understand industry trends, market dynamics, and the broader macroeconomic and geopolitical environment using a variety of sources (media, analyst reports, industry financial commentary, etc.) to build and manage a research database, develop and share analyses, and leverage research insights to inform Corning’s strategic messaging and investor focused content
• Help manage corporate processes (such as publication of corporate news announcements, earnings, annual report, etc.) for the SFC team by partnering with cross-functional leaders to keep deliverables and processes organized and on track
• Maintain a strong understanding of Corning’s corporate and business messaging to contribute to the development and execution of a variety of communications deliverables
• Support cross-functional communications initiatives in partnership with integrated communications colleagues to build and advance Corning’s brand and reputation

Education and Experience:

• Three+ years of experience with bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field
• Master’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field preferred
• Experience in journalism, financial/ business communications, public relations, marketing communications, or editorial preferred
