The Sr. Director Flight Scheduling Operations will direct, organize, and oversee the day-to-day tactics and strategy of the flight scheduling staff and associated operations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business aviation, operations management or similar, Master’s degree preferred
  • At least 7-10 years’ Relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of people management experience
  • Strong leadership in a matrixed, diverse environment
  • Advanced communication and negotiation skills to influence internal and external stakeholders with great latitude on outcomes

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Flight Management Representatives, Team Leads and Supervisors
  • Lead and manage team of Fuel Desk Specialists
  • Manages the delivery of contracted services to clients to ensure that SLAs (service level agreements) and KPI (key performance indicators) as defined in the relevant contracts are met or exceeded
  • Maintains tight control over the project schedule, risks, scope of work and budget; ensures that operational teams and subcontractors have a clear understanding of client requirements
  • Focus on retaining clients and collaborating with internal teams to effectively support the client.
  • Builds and maintains strong client relationships, and provides day-to-day client advice and support
  • Works with client service organization to ensure that customers are provided the highest level of customer service in accordance with Jet Aviation Service Standard.
  • Serve as the escalation resource when client and/or internal conflicts become elevated and resolves escalated inquiries and complaints fairly and effectively.
  • Ensure that all direct reports are representing Jet Aviation with the highest service excellence standards
  • Ensure new and existing customers are being provided the high touch service excellence in relation to, trip scheduling requests, billing inquiries, suggestions, and complaints
  • Promotes the organization's capabilities to clients, identifies sales opportunities to be forwarded to the account managers, and achieves contract extensions or additional business within the account(s)
  • Recruits and performance manage nationwide scheduling staff as required and in accordance with the appropriate Jet Aviation HR Guidelines. Responsible for day-to-day and long-term action of scheduling staff through training and ongoing support.
  • Develops, establishes, and sustains ongoing strategic relationships and partnerships with significant and key Jet Aviation customers.
  • Travels and networks with prospective Charter, Aircraft Management, and Partnership Aircraft clients with verbal, written, and personal presentations.
  • Confers with Senior VPs of Charter Services and Aircraft Management to review achievements and quotas and recommends changes in strategic sales goals or objectives resulting from current market status and conditions.
  • Attends relevant operational meetings and training programs and represents the company at trade association meetings and trade shows.
  • All other duties as assigned by management.
  • Recommends and implements programs to support customer needs
  • Manages and supports personnel and operations critical to flight scheduling and charter organization.
  • Communicates regularly with appropriate management team members on relevant items affecting the business and the team
  • Represents Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network
