The company currently manages about 6,000 bed spaces in Los Angeles, Irvine, Seattle, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Tucson, Austin, Chicago, San Francisco, and Berkeley.

Responsibilities

  • Play a critical role in helping set the goals and product direction for the team.
  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our internal and external users.
  • Design flows and experiences that simplify and distill down complex actions into usable interfaces.
  • Work closely with our product managers to define the MVP which will help us ship products and learn fast.
  • Guide design execution, improve the user experience, and work with team members (think product managers and engineers) to launch features.
  • Use both qualitative and quantitative insights to bring the voice of our customers into your work.
  • Solicit feedback from stakeholders including but not limited to product, eng, data, ops, marketing and external customers.
  • Think holistically about complex systems, empathize with users, and understand goals to create compelling user experiences

Who You Are

  • Self-motivated and able to efficiently run with a project without close supervision.
  • Love to discuss design in group settings; participate in design critiques and reviews.
  • Willing to adapt and contribute to design system; Working closely with your engineers to build components that seamlessly fit into a larger component library/style guide.
  • Hands-on designer that is proficient in user research techniques, interaction design, visual design and usability testing.
  • A phenomenal storyteller and communicator.
  • You thrive in a fast paced and high growth environment.

Qualifications

  • A keen eye for visual UI details.
  • 3+ working experience in the Product Design space
  • Familiarity with the Property Management or Real Estate space preferred.
  • A portfolio of work that reflects your strengths in both UX and visual design skills on which you were the primary designer, with moderate guidance from design leadership.
  • Experience with designing and shipping an end to end product with complicated flows, multiple scenarios and edge cases.
  • Ability to provide design variations and rationalize your design choices.
  • Ability to organize and communicate your thoughts and motivations with different audience.
Compensation:
The estimated annual cash salary for this role is $100,000 - $180,000.
