Model N is seeking a Sr. Program Manager for Model N’s next generation Platform and Data and Analytics teams. This position will be responsible for overseeing and enabling the development of software products and services that include Data & Analytics and Platform components. This position will join a dynamic Program Management team, report to the Sr. Director of Program Management, and will work closely with teams of software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to enable and ensure that discovery and delivery efforts are aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives, as we build best in class solutions for Life Sciences and High-Tech product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing a program management strategy that aligns with the company’s overall product development roadmap
- Driving and enabling program planning, and monitoring, controlling, and reporting program execution, using a light yet fit-for-purpose process
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and manage the discovery and development of software products
- Ensuring that all product development efforts are aligned with the company’s overall business objectives
- Identifying and addressing any potential risk or issues that may arise during the discovery and delivery process
- Foster a culture of data-driven program management, product excellence, and exception program execution
- Providing regular updates to senior leadership on the status of product discovery and delivery efforts
- Performing on-going predictive analysis of program progress, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues before they arise
- Driving and participating in creation of new, and improvement of existing standards, processes, procedures, and techniques
- Mentoring and supporting junior program managers and project managers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, engineering, or business.) MBA is a plus
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in program management, with a focus on software discovery and delivery
- Strong understanding of SaaS, Cloud, and Data & Analytics technologies
- Excellent project and program management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple programs simultaneously
- Strong leadership skills, and the ability to mentor and support other team members
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency with software development frameworks and methodologies such as Agile, and experience working with Scrum teams in a hybrid environment
- Strong program management and process improvement capabilities, with a track record of delivering results across a complex portfolio
- Experience with Agile software development/project management tools such as Jira
- Flexibility, willingness, and desire to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks
- Ability to think strategically and tactically, and utilize change management practices to make programs successful
- Ability to work some flexible hours to accommodate Model N’s global footprint
An outstanding candidate will also have:
- Deep understanding of software engineering principles and enterprise system architecture
- Working knowledge of business intelligence and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, QLIK, Power BI, MicroStrategy)
- Proven experience, and deep working knowledge of Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence) and add-ons (e.g. Structure, EazyBI)
At Model N we offer fair, equitable and competitive salary ranges for all positions. Compensation varies depending on factors that may include a candidate’s relevant experience, education and/or certifications, location, training, and other skills. Positions are eligible to participate in either our employee bonus program or commission payments, depending on the nature of the role.
