Trexin Consulting is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team in Chicago, IL or Richardson, TX and consult at our Healthcare client.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Responsible to guide organizational journey into scales agile (such as SAFe), through practice
  • Accountable for end-to-end management of a project including all standard project management processes and deliverables such as the cost/budget, schedule and dependencies, resources, scope, RAID, change management and communications.
  • Project(s) may include a) multiple IT products, b) multiple business stakeholder groups, c) being executed within 12 months, and d) multiple vendors partners.
  • Where complexity attributes are lessened, multiple concurrent projects may be assigned.
  • Required mentoring and leadership of other PMs Ability to work effectively across stakeholders – business and IT.
  • Responsible for driving and leading projects that impact multiple functional areas.
  • Understanding of end-to-end solution.
  • Inspire the teams and management in using new tools and techniques.
  • Lead by example rather than dictate.
  • Facilitate interactions and appropriate communication between teams and supporting functionality.
  • Promote a culture of experimentation and innovations.

Key Desired Skills, Experience and Knowledge:

  • Experience as a Senior Project Manager for at least eight years.
  • Healthcare Payer experience highly preferred
  • Experience working with scales agile frameworks such as SAFe
  • Experience is member-focused transformation a plus
  • Experience managing medium to high complexity projects.
  • Subject matter experience in chosen project technology or business process.
  • Experience being on multiple teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.).
  • Experience bridging enterprise Program Management with a large number of teams.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful project management techniques: Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing.
  • Experience with other software development methods (Agile, Waterfall, XP) highly desirable.
  • Experience working with executives and leaders.
  • Organizational change management experience.
  • Ability to improvise and communicate to larger crowds.
  • Experience creating and conducting workshops within various methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
