Sr. Ruby on Rails Developer / Rails Developer

We are looking for Senior Ruby on Rails Developers for 100% remote, 6 month +, 1099 Contracts.

US Citizenship or Green Card Required

The ideal candidate would be effective at working at all levels of the development stack, from server configuration to user interface development, and would possess the soft skills necessary to perform discovery, design, and user acceptance activities with non-technical business users. The role will report into the risk management organization helping to develop and maintain a trade capture for commodity trading.

Requirements:

· Supporting/enhancing 3 Ruby on Rails apps - 1 running on Rails 6/Ruby 2.7 and 2 running on Rails 3

· Core focus would be on our internal Trading Operations application, Rails 6 app

· Experience testing with RSpec, Selenium, Chrome headless

Preferred Skills:

· Apps deployed to AWS EC2 and RDS - familiarity with those platforms preferred

· Comfort working with Linux (Ubuntu, Amazon) preferred

· Experience in finance/trading preferred, if possible

· Experience in renewable energy a plus

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $85.00 - $95.00 per hour
