PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Performs and/or manages activities relating to planning, designing, building, and maintaining IT services, projects, portfolios, products and processes. Creates and assigns detailed tasks to subordinates. Has budget responsibility for a small project, sub-project or process component. Expected to work under minimal supervision.

Position requires extensive expertise in Microsoft office products and Hyperion, Clarity/WPT, ServiceNow-PPM. Position has hands-on competency in platform or associated reporting tools and functions.

• Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

Note: This is a flex position meaning this role will be part remote and part in the office.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Collaborate with IT Investment & Financial Management, application and service owners, and external vendors in support of creating standard financial reporting solutions specifically for IT. (40%)
• Participate and or lead assessments of various financial reporting tools and improvements. Assist with providing guidance and recommendations to leadership. (15%)
• Understand processes related to Long Range Planning, Project Authorization, Financial Controls including basic accrual accounting (10%).
• Provide coordination, support and deliverables related to emergent initiatives and special assignments with focus on sharing of business process expertise, continuous improvement and organizational effectiveness. (10%)
• Maintain technical knowledge and business acumen within own discipline or function (10%)

• Utilize understanding of customer's business needs to determine requirements
• Applies technical expertise to plan, design, build or support required products and processes
• Help other team members learn appropriate theories, practices and principles that relate to their skill set portfolio
• As assigned, manage budget for area of responsibility
• As assigned, manage working relationship with outsourcing partners

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and typically 5 to 8 years experience in Information Technology or in lieu of degree, 9-12 years equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Proficiency with data analysis in Microsoft Excel
• Experience leading small IT projects or sub-teams and knowledge of IT project management.
• Strong problem solving and analysis ability.
• Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work with remote project teams
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years overall experience PowerBI, PowerApps, OBIEE, Hyperion and/or other reporting platforms
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance or related discipline with 6+ years experience in cost management and or/business analysis with focus on internal financial management.
